Connecting your data sources

K supports three primary approaches for integrating customer data, each designed to meet different organizational needs. Each of these integration paths focus on enterprise-grade connections with appropriate governance and preparation steps applied before ingestion.

  1. Transfer to Owkin-managed storage Customers can transfer data to an Owkin-managed storage environment that connects directly to K. This can be configured as a bucket within Owkin's AWS account, or as a dedicated cloud account and bucket to maximize data isolation and security.

  2. Expose customer-managed storage Customers can expose their own storage (we natively support AWS), allowing data to remain within their own infrastructure while still being accessible to K. No data migration is required.

  3. Connect an existing data platform For organizations already using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar services, K can connect directly via a secure integration. This approach preserves your existing data governance, access controls, and processing pipelines without requiring data to be moved.
